Mimi's Pattern ShopMimi's Annie Agnes
Originally issued in 1998, We've just revised the pattern to bring it up to date with sources and recommendations for 2009. Annie Agnes is a 16-inch muslin doll with button jointed shoulders and hips and with Mimi's updated version of the classic "sling" button joint at the knee. She has a young, full figured, anatomically proportioned body. Annie can also be made from Deer Suede or Buck Suede which provides a very nice skin texture. The pattern includes instructions for painting stripes on the legs, for wefting mohair, and for making a pin-woven vest. Excellent costuming ideas — great skirts and blouses. You have a choice of a traced face (embroidered or colored with pencils and crayons), a trapunto (quilted) face, or a completely needle-modeled face made from either muslin or cotton knit fabric. Annie Agnes's costume includes a blouse, skirt, overskirt, crocheted vest, and crocheted hat. Her stockings are the fabric used for the lower leg and her shoes are painted on. Her hair can be made from either wefted mohair or from textured yarn. Instructions for cleaning and wefting mohair are included. The pattern includes complete instructions for needle-modeling a pretty face and body. Instructions are also included for needle-modeling the torso for more realistic breasts and spine. This is a beautiful doll that I have enjoyed designing. I think you will like all the options. Each Annie you make will be different as it is impossible to make two exactly alike. Full-sized, cut-out patterns and 44-page instruction book filled with pictures, drawings, and hints for dollmakers. This pattern can be used for any young, full figured, anatomically proportioned, female character doll. You are licensed to sell dolls made from this pattern.
